[He says that like they're going on vacation together. He has no idea what it actually means.]

There's a folder in my room with your name on it.

It's made out of real paper!

My name’s on a lot of stuff!

But I heard! Weird hearing your name over the speakers, but that was a fun surprise. What’s it mean that we’re “paired”?

[agardener]

I don't quite know. I suppose I am going to lead you to your redemption, but I don't know what that means. I think it's simply that we can spend more time together.

[getfeldsparred]

Yeah, couldn’t tell you. Couldn’t even try to guess.

But I am glad it’s you! I was worried I was gonna be stuck with someone I didn’t already get good vibes from.

[agardener]

What are vibes?

[getfeldsparred]

The energy you put out into the world! Not in a physical sense, but how you make others feel and your general attitude towards life.

So, good vibes.

[agardener]

Oh! Well, then you also have good vibes.

I enjoy them.

Did you want to watch a show?

[getfeldsparred]

Thanks. I think I’ve got the best vibes outta anyone I know.

Sure do! Where should we go?

[agardener]

The common room on your floor should suffice!

[getfeldsparred]

Well I think I can find that okay! Do you have a time in mind? Now, a little while later?

[agardener]

Oh.

Well now, if it doesn't interfere with your plans.

[getfeldsparred]

Oh, yeah, big plans, that’s me.

Sym is waiting in the common room, sitting with his pink tentacled creature on his shoulder in the chair. He has a DVD and Feldspar's file with him.

[getfeldsparred]

Feldspar shows up sans spacesuit, tattered clothes barely hanging together loosely clinging to their frame. They should get new clothes - these are clearly ruined - but they’re still doing the job, aren’t they?

They take a single glance towards file in Sym’s hand and then decides to promptly ignore it. “Hey, what’ve you got for us?”

[agardener]

"They call it a documentary," he says, holding it up. "It has information about Earth. I thought it would be good for both of us to watch."

[getfeldsparred]

“Since there’s more of them than us that seems like a good idea.”

In their younger days they might have flopped down into the couch beside Sym, but they grab hold of the arm and lower themselves down slower, just out of caution.

[agardener]

Sym starts it automatically and blinks a little at the greenery. No matter how many times he sees it, he can't get used to it. It's so - big.

He sits forward, taking it all in.

[getfeldsparred]

It’s a big planet, a really big planet, and diverse to boot with all of it’s big forests and tundras and deserts and oceans and lakes and —

Feldspar sits back quietly and watches, hands between their legs as they lean forward.

[agardener]

Sym blinks a little at the creatures in the water, about the strange and beautiful things hiding in the deep.

"It's so - big. And diverse," he mutters. "Is Timber Hearth like that?"

[getfeldsparred]

“Big, yeah,” they frown. “But not that diverse. We’ve got forests and mountains, some snow at the poles. Nothing like this.”

The fish are fascinating, at least until the fish living deeper in the sea are introduced. Feldspar visibly tenses as a small anglerfish, different yet somehow so similar, swims across the screen.
